Instruction to Contributors
1. The object of the Journal of Explosives and Propellants, R.O.C. is to publish papers in the broad
field of explosives, propellants and pyrotechnics research which may range from fundamental
principles to practical applications. Accepted for publication are of three basic topics:
a. Original Papers-Formal presentation of significant and completed research projects.
b. Short Communications-Brief reports which need prompt publication.
c. Special reports-General comments on established topics of explosives, propellants and
related.
Three copies of the manuscripts should be submitted to editor department of the journal. Total
10 reprints of each paper will be provided free of charge to the author.
2. Abstracts to an original paper should be clear and concise, 200 words maximum. Manuscripts
must be typed with double spacing on A4 paper leaving at least 3 cm margins. Length of papers
is not to exceed 20 pages.
3. Manuscripts should be divided into sections by headings and subheadings which are numbered
as 1, 2, 3 and 1.1, 1.2,...etc..
4. Equations in manuscript should be nearly typed and subsequently numbered in parentheses ( ).
5. Figures and Tables should be drawn and typed in separate sheets. Every figure and table must
be referred to in the text. Every table must accompanied by a leading with a consecutive
number. Figure captions and legends should be typed on separate pages. The figures should be
carefully designed and prepared. The quality of the figures should be such that they can be
reproduced directly. Numbers, letters and symbols inscribed must be large enough to be still
2.0 mm high after reduction. Photographic illustrations should be in black and white glossy
prints.
6. References should be indicated in the text by superior numbers in square parentheses [ ] and the
full reference should be given in a list at the end of the paper in the following examples:
